Repeat Prescriptions

Patients who are on regular medication do not always need to see a Doctor for a prescription. Please note you will be required to have annual medication reviews by the doctor.

Always allow two working days for us to issue your prescription before you pick it up from the surgery or chemist.

Alternately you can enclose a Self-Stamped Addressed envelope and we can post your prescription to you.

Prescription requests cannot be taken over the phone by receptionists - as they are not clinically trained.

We also accept repeat prescription requests via email, please send your request in to: ENFCCG.arnosgrove-reception@nhs.net

If you are a housebound patient and cannot collect your prescription, then you can arrange for your local pharmacy to pick up the prescription from us and deliver it to you. Please ring your local pharmacy to discuss this option with them.

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

Please click here to view our leafelt about the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS service. It gives you the chance to change how your GP sends your prescription to the place you choose to get  your medicines or appliances from.

Medication Review

All prescriptions are reviewed regularly by the doctor. You may be asked to go for a blood test if necessary before the doctor reviews your medication. Your review date is shown at the bottom of your prescription. It is important that you do make the appointment requested in order for the doctor to assess your medication. Failure to make an appointment when requested to do so, will mean that we may not be able to issue you with further medication. It is for your own safety that you cooperate.
